Merry Christmas. :)

As I was skewing these pork meats into these barbecue sticks, I noticed a newspaper dated last Sunday December 18, 2011 sitting on our table. It has a big picture of two mothers, sitting on the mud, devastated, while carrying the body of their dead sons in Cagayan De Oro. It is always the same. The punch in the heart feeling. It's already a week since Sendong passed through southern Philippines and brought so much fatalities and destruction to land and lives by our fellow citizen.

This Christmas Eve, I hope we remember that true spirit of the season with the essence of love and sharing as we join tonight on our Noche Buena feast. May the Lord warm the hearts of those who suffered and continuously in pain because of the tragedy happened in our land. May He bless those who are continuously providing heartfelt service and volunteerism to aid the victims this Christmas Season. May their faiths never loosen. May they have the courage to continue living.

My prayers also goes to those security guards, street sweepers, police, military personnel, traffic enforcers, nurses, doctors, pharmacists, janitors, call center agents, waiters, and others who'll be offering their service tonight without their families. May their hearts be filled with warmth of Your love.

My prayer also goes to those who's sick, terminally ill, with failing bodies, living alone, those who's mentally ill, emotionally depressed and others not mentioned. May the Almighty Lord bless us all as we celebrate the birth of His Son.

Merry Christmas to all of you!

Love, Me.
