Broken twigs and fallen leaves
Reflections of shadows on the shattered glass
One is whole with a broken soul
A mirror views a scary ghoul
Burned in ice. Frozen cold.
With fiery words, breath on hold.
A clown who smiles with every tear
A man turned mute on words he hear.
Limbs quaking, breeze that bite.
A candle in the dark, a light at night
Eyes that's full of sadness lies
The one who never bids goodbyes.
Shares none in agony, savors misery
Chooses to be still without a company.
While the rain is falling and the tears are flowing,
I'll be dancing alone with the wind. Labels: heart, original, poetry, self
