10 Things

So much happened last August wherein the series of unfortunate events never stopped till the first few days of my Birthday Month. Yet the things I've learned was so immense that I feel like I'm already on my 30's.

And I wanted to share some highlights of the things I've realized this ghost month.

1. Never believe in one person's morality expressed in words. Some people just ought to say things which they think is right to say than what they would really do if they're already in the situation.

2. In terms of love, it's alright to give second chances. But not third or fourth or fifth. Love is different from pity, boredom, or fickle-mindedness. (I still find it hard to give second chances under some circumstances)

3. Using anger as a driving force to move on has a rubber band effect. You struggle to reach a certain point, but you'll just snap back once you've loosen your grip. Acknowledging the hurt saves us from ruminating. Acceptance is always the key.

4. Love is shared unequally. It's either the one loves someone who loves less, or the one loves someone who doesn't love back. Either ways, it's ok the be the one who loves. In the end, no regrets. You've done your best.

5. Giving a part of you to make someone whole, I guess, is the only painfully good thing.

6. Every person who became a part of your life has an important purpose. Them leaving would only mean that their purpose has been done and vise-versa.

7. If you're competing with someone else for their heart, you already lost. Even if you win, you still lose.

8. Not all good things and good people last forever. Give importance. Savour. Appreciate.

9. I am behaviorally and personality-wise deviant (as a friend told me). It hastens up my maturity, which is sometimes not cool. I am young. I was supposed to be care-free, taking risks and having fun. Or else I would die without living.

10. Tonight I could have assembled sets of sharp words that could pierce through someone's heart. Though I'm a bit mad and sad, I choose not to. I know, I am better than that.

Happy September.
