February Escape

My recent trip towards down south from the busy city life made me realize plenty of things. That people come and go. And it's not a sin to open a little bit of yourself for them. The acceptance that leaving is a normal part of socialization. And meeting ups aren't wasted once you've imparted something relevant towards the other party. And you must pay attention to that chance encounter you could have with someone destined for you. You never know. He/she could be the last person who climbed up the boat or the first to leave the paradise.

That the most important respect that you must treasure is the respect you give to yourself. You must hold on to that thing that keeps you human. That sense of dignity that cannot and will never be covered by the mud and dirt thrown at you. And you must give other people the chance whether they'd respect you or not. It's not your prerogative to have their approval on the things you do for yourself. Practice that respect towards yourself and you'll find it easy to respect others too. Because, you see, not everyone has the ability to exhibit such character.

That love must not be forced to happen. Let the nature take on its full course. Do not force it to ripe or blossom in an ample amount of time. Let the river flow down the sea. Let the wind blow on the shore. Let the flowers bloom under the sun. And you'll see the beauty of love that's been nurtured by time and patience. And some budding romance must be initially kept between the two parties. Let other people's hands kept off from the bud. It must be put on a pot, watered with communication, honest affection and positivity for it to grow. Build a fence on it so in time when the flowers bloom, the nosy neighbors are put out. (Friends are exceptions of course.)

That life is too short to dwell on the dramas, negativities, and being anxious on what the future might bring. One must not forget to live the present. Enjoy the moments of being alive, basking in the sun, breathing air, and strolling beside the waves. That we must never forget to tell people how we love them and how important they are to us if not at least, let them feel they're important. That our life will never be the same without them playing a role on it.

That honest laughter and sincere smiles are symbols of pure happiness which could be captured in a single click of a shutter. That real happiness is rarely experienced. So you've got to hold on to those every moments. To those memorable moments of the addicting world of euphoria. For nothing is ever permanent. And it's effects will soon fade, and what matters most is whether you could answer these questions positively..

"Are you happy? When was the last time you feel so happy?"

..and you'll smile once the thought of such memories came rushing in again.
